• February

A month that is commercialized to be the month of love. Valentines alone takes up several shelves for about a month leading up to February 14th. I have friends who are single, some married and some divorced. I want to encourage you to make this entire month about loving ALL people. Love your spouse, your friends, the people you work with, your church family or the random lady behind you in the line at the grocery store.  Jesus is our ultimate picture of love and throughout the Bible we get glimpses of what it means to love without strings attached. Today will you love without expectation so that those receiving…

  • Remember

Remember A word that God put on my heart at the end of November. I couldn’t unsee it.  Good Memories from my childhood, along with sweet reminders of Gods faithfulness have been stirring in my heart for weeks. This freebie is my ONE word for 2019 and I wanted to share it with you because I believe with my whole heart that 2019 is going to be a spiritual marker year. I am expecting to see God heal, restore and bring forth miracles that have been prayed for. I believe that as we begin a new year and the victories come or tragedy, love or heartache we must REMEMBER who…

  • Redemption

Have you ever heard the saying “If you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans”? I have! And my guess is He’s probably doubled over in pain, horse-laughing at me right now because never, did I ever, think I’d be watching a tiny baby play with Santa gifts again on Christmas morning. My youngest baby is 10, well that was until 9 months ago when God blessed our family with baby number 5 and he may just be the sweetest one yet.   No, I don’t have favorites, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Hmmm, anyway. Little Lincoln stormed into our family with one dimple on his…

  • Merry and Bright

Christmas spirit is something we all long to feel. We want to look at the Christmas lights that hang in our neighbors’ yard and feel all cozy inside, we want to look in the stores and get butterflies when we see the perfect gift for that one family member or friend who is so hard to buy for. We want to bake the perfect cookies, decorate the perfect gingerbread houses and pack in all the festivities and parties along the way.  I don’t believe anyone really starts the holidays with hatred. I do know that the suicide rates go up, depression goes up, anxiety goes up and families experience not…

  • When you don’t see the favor of God…

Holly asked me to write a blog about favor and my hands got sweaty immediately. The Lord was already working on me about favor and I was so nervous because I didn’t understand it for myself. I still don’t fully understand it but the Lord has been gracefully changing my perspective through writing. Writing to God is how I process things, so I’m going to let you guys take a peek into my journal and see how the Lord is teaching me about favor.   November 13, 2018 Lord, what are my fears? I want to face them. I want Your Light to shine on them so I’m not taken off…
